With a safe shelter, all LDK needs is support for the basic necessities to enable the children to make positive changes in their personal lives. With nurturance, they feel more motivated and challenged to reach beyond their surroundings. In the process, they are able to build a foundation for a hope filled future.

With hunger looming and threatening the lives of 10 million Kenyans, LDK is faced with the challenge of ensuring that the children under its direct responsibility receive a warm meal every day while the orphans in the home require other basic needs as they pursue their education. We highly appreciate for any support of the following:

Foodstuffs:        Maize (corn), maize-flour (corn flour – apparently the stable food for Kenyans), millet flour, wheat flour, sugar, tea-leaves, rice, beans, cooking oil, salt, and any other cereals;

Materials:          Bar soap, toilet soap, washing soap, toilet paper, body oil, girls’ sanitary towels, tooth paste, tooth brush, shoes, shoe polish, shoe brush, clothing, Blankets, Sheets, among others.

Learning aids:    Exercise books, text books, (reading, reference and course books), blackboards, blackboard dusters, pens, pencils, rulers, rubbers and any other learning aids for children in nursery, primary and high school. The availability of these learning aids ensures provision of quality education to the children.
